New at Salt & Ivy
Salt & Ivy, the restaurant located in the lobby atrium at Beau Rivage Resort & Casino, is making mealtime tastier with the addition of new entrées. Known for great food and Southern hospitality, Salt & Ivy has added even more Southern flair and traditional dishes to its menu.
“We listened to our guests,” said Salt & Ivy Executive Chef Jason McWhorter, sharing that the revamped menu has been streamlined to include more regional favorites, as well as extra seafood items. Salt & Ivy now also features all-day lunch and dinner.
Guests don’t have to worry about the removal of their top choices, including the chicken pot pie, the club sandwich and the catfish platter. Instead, there are more options to enjoy. New to the menu is the Southern dip trio featuring fried potato chips made fresh daily and served with three house-made dips, including French onion, pimento cheese, and Cajun ranch; Nashville hot chicken served with shaved onion, pickles, and white bread; fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese and bacon; and New Orleans-style barbecue salmon with rice and vegetables.
Other dishes that are sure to become fast favorites are the crawfish queso dip served with tortilla chips; Creole pasta made with fettuccine in a Cajun Alfredo sauce; blackened redfish topped with etouffee; and Cajun popcorn crawfish and shrimp baskets.
Salt & Ivy General Manager Aundra Bishop said there was a lot more to the restaurant than the food which has guests quickly becoming like family. “Salt & Ivy makes you feel like you are outside at Grandma’s house. You can look up and see the blue sky, and feel like you are in the midst of Southern charm,” he said.
That feeling extends to the hospitality of the employees many who have been with the restaurant for years and know the regulars well. “The employees are the face of the restaurant. They know the guests who are regulars, and the regulars know them, too. We make people feel as if they are the only guests in the room — it’s a feeling like no other,” Bishop said.
With its convenient location allowing guests to valet park and walk right in, Salt & Ivy has a weekend champagne brunch featuring bottomless mimosas on Saturday and Sunday served from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Breakfast Monday through Friday is served 6 to 11 a.m. and lunch can be enjoyed 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dinner Wednesday through Thursday and Sunday is served 4 p.m. to midnight and on Friday and Saturday, dinner is 4 p.m. to 1 a.m.
