Praiseworthy Food and a Million Dollar View
With a bird’s eye backdrop that rivals any Gulf Coast postcard, The Reef Biloxi also has praiseworthy and artfully crafted culinary dishes. But that’s not all.
The unparalleled triple-story restaurant, which recently celebrated its 10th anniversary, includes a beachy playground, a unique gift shop, catering services, dine-in air-conditioned seating, outdoor tables, and an open-air Sky Bar. The bright blue shoreline eatery is easy to find sitting directly on Biloxi Beach and the can’t-miss beach bistro also features an eye-catching underwater mural by Marty Wilson, covering the entire north side of the restaurant and overlooking the water.
“But we aren’t just a seafood destination,” said co-owner Denis Trochesset who owns The Reef Biloxi and several other Gulf Coast staples with well-known chef and restauranteur Rob Stinson. “We have so much more than just seafood,” Trochesset said.
Although seafood is a focal point, with Firecracker Shrimp Pasta, Swamp Island Shrimp & Grits, and chargrilled, Creole or raw oysters tapped as the locals’ most popular entree choices, there are so many more dishes to draw hungry patrons.
The extensive menu also includes Bacon-Wrapped Pork Fillet Medallions, Reef Steaks, Jacked Up Chicken, mouth-stretching giant burgers, and Mac Daddy Roni. The award-winning beach eatery also offers a Healthy Options menu and has one of the largest children’s menus on the Coast. The healthy choices include a wide variety of luscious salads and tasty wraps. Of course, White Chocolate Bread Pudding and Key Lime Pie are Southern staples.
One special dish folks are always willing to try at a bartender’s suggestion is the crispy fried Gator and Pickle bites, but regardless of what dish you choose, it’s sure to be a culinary masterpiece.
“If you can name it, we have it,” Trochesset said. “There’s something for everybody at The Reef and we also have a fully stocked, fully serviced bar with over 30 draft and craft beers on tap.”
For hand-crafted cocktail or mocktail connoisseurs and craft beer enthusiasts, the top-floor Sky Bar is where you’ll find pool tables, live music entertainment, including karaoke nights, stand-up comedians, as well as a sports venue. And, it has a 270-degree view of the Gulf of Mexico, located directly on the Biloxi Boardwalk.
“It’s the Mississippi Gulf Coast at its finest,” Trochesset said. “You can see sugar white sand beaches everywhere you look from the Sky Bar and it’s a family-friendly place.”
It doesn’t get any better than enjoying a scrumptious meal with a hand-crafted cocktail while watching the sun set into the Gulf waters, but if you have a catered event coming up, The Reef has a couple of ways to help with its extensive catering services.
With private and non-private parties and the ability to adapt to any budget, the catering venue calendar fills up fast, especially around the holidays. And if you need off-sight catering, The Reef has you covered. Menus include a lot of the same in-house dishes such as Aloha Chicken, Flounder Monica, and Creole Coastal Pasta.
